Adding words or phrases to your Vocabulary
IfDragonNaturallySpeakinggetsawordwrong,itmaybethatthewordisnotinDragon's
Vocabulary.Whenthisisthecase,youcanusethefollowingproceduretoaddthatwordso
thatitisrecognizedinthefuture.
To add individual words
1. Dooneofthefollowing:
l ClickVocabulary>AddNewWordorPhraseontheNewDragonBarorClassic
DragonBar.
l Say"SwitchtoDragonBar"then"Vocabulary"then"AddNewWordorPhrase".
2. IntheAddWordorPhrasedialogbox,spell(byvoice)ortypethewordyouwanttoadd.
3. IncludeaSpokenformofthenewwordifnecessary.Forexample,ifthewordcontainsan
accent,suchas"Gaspé,"youwouldaddaSpokenformlike"gaspay"sothatDragon
recognizesthepronunciationandenterstheWrittenformwhenyoudictatetheword.
4. Optionally,select"Iwanttotrainthepronunciationofthiswordorphrase".
5. ClickAdd.
If you chose to train the word, the word you entered appears in the Train Words
dialog box, and you will be able to teach Dragon NaturallySpeaking your
pronunciation of that word.

Using punctuation with written and spoken forms
Ifthewrittenformofawordcontainsanypunctuation,youshouldprovideaspokenformso
thatthereisnodoubtastohowtheitemwillbepronounced.Donotuseabbreviations,
symbolsorpunctuationinthespokenform.
